Any students who are nominated have to fill out certain forms, as do the professors who are recommending them. Again, all forms are attached to this email.

Although applicants are asked to fill out a brief financial statement, Astronaut Scholarships, unlike most scholarships awarded by MIT, are not need-based. Winning candidates are invited to the annual Astronaut Hall of Fame induction gala held every spring at NASA's Kennedy Space Center.
