Dear Boston-area EdTech Members,

The Instructional Design and eTeaching Services department at Boston College invites you to join us for eTeaching Day on Wednesday, May 18, 2011.  The morning portion of the day focuses on faculty instructional technology projects, followed by a keynote speaker over lunch, with product demonstrations and workshops in the afternoon.

In addition to these offerings, we will also have a technology fair open from 10 to 11 am.  At the technology fair, representatives from the BC Libraries, ITS, BC Bookstore and IDeS, as well as a few of our vendor partners will be available to discuss and illustrate a wide range of technologies available at Boston College. At the end of the fair, we will raffle off a fabulous technology prize!

Our keynote speakers this year are Dr. David Bogen of the Rhode Island School of Design and Dr. Eric Gordon of Emerson College.  Their talk is entitled "Intimacy, Expertise, and the 'Problem' of Attention: Designs for Post-Industrial Education."

Finally, we will recognize faculty who were nominated by students for their outstanding uses of technology to enhance learning during the Teaching with New Media Awards ceremony, as well as give away more fun, fabulous technology prizes (and yes, you have to be there to win)!
