Anna,
I would suggest creating a new Drupal page content type called
"documents" or whatever, and restrict access to it (via roles) to only
DUE staff. The library could be completely searchable via Drupal (as
opposed to Drupal) and you could refine/enhance this basic
functionality in many ways.
I'm curious to know what extra functionality a specific module would
provide? It's possible that using a dedicated module is simply a
convenient way to facilitate the design and layout for this section of
your site, as the actual functionality seems core Drupal functionality
combined with a specific role.
