Work item <XXXXXXXX> locked by user WF_BATCH (enqueue error)

Usually when a work item status is locked in status "Started" probably a runtime-error occured, check ST22.
First of all you have to check what happened, why the workflow crashed initially and fix this.

To fix your issue you can go to tcode SM12 and find the lock for that specific work item and delete it. Be very careful to delete only this lock.
It is not recommended to manually delete locks in production, it would be safe to just wait till the system will release the lock automatically, but I don't know how long it will take.

After the lock is removed you can logically delete the work item.

Dear Experts,
Currently we are facing enqueue error in one of the workitem in production system whose status is "Started". We are trying to put into error or logical delete then "Work item <XXXXXXXX> locked by user WF_BATCH (enqueue error)" is showing up. 
 
Is there any possibility to restart or delete this workitem?
Please help us out.
