Extended Notifications - automatic removal of redundant notifications

Hi,

It is possible that a single workitem instance will have multiple
agents. An extended notification message will be dispatched to each of
the agents of the workitem. If one agent reserves/executes the workitem
from the notification link the workitem is immediately annihilated from
the inbox of the other agents. However, my belief is that the (now
redundant) notifications to the other agents will remain in their email
inboxes. Is it possible to automatically delete existing email
notifications to other agents once the underlying workitem has been
executed?
