The Institute of Production and Supply Chain Management in the Department of Law and Economics, Technical University of Darmstadt, invites applications for a vacant position of a

Research Associate/Postdoc (all genders) - 75 %

initially limited to 3 years. An option for increasing the coverage of the position is available - for more information please contact the head of the institute.
The positions are classified according to pay group 13 of the TU Darmstadt collective agreement (TV-TU Darmstadt).

Your tasks:
The prospective jobholder is expected to contribute to research and teaching at the institute, in particular:

  *   Contribute to the various theoretical and practice-oriented research projects of the institute in the area of modelling and optimization of decision problems in production and logistics
  *   Contribute to the preparation of (and conduct) lectures and seminars
  *   Supervise student's theses
  *   Take over administrative duties.

Your profile:
Applicants should have a Ph.D./doctorate with a focus on quantitative studies, preferably in the areas of business mathematics, business informatics, industrial engineering
or business management with majors in operations research / management science, logistics or industrial management / supply chain management.
Applicants with experiences in the use of mathematical optimization software, such as Mathematica, MatLab, CPlex or LINGO, will be given preference.
Applicants should further be fluent in German or English; proficiency in both languages is desirable.
