[WebPub] [abcd-www] new Women in Tech group at Harvard

Dear MIT WebPub,

I will be co-chairing another (I know I'm crazy) and new group at Harvard that I thought some of you may be interested in called Women in Tech (abcd-wit). Please email me directly if you are interested in getting future announcements about the group. We are thinking of WebEx'ing these meetings if there is enough interest. Here is the group info:

Women in Tech
We meet informally as a chance to encourage, collaborate, and discuss our experiences as women in technology at Harvard. We plan on having invited speakers, training sessions, and round table discussions.

For the inaugural meeting next month, we would like to talk about why we should have a group like this. We know women are outnumbered in technology fields, do you see this as a problem? A symptom? Or a peculiarity? Whether you feel isolated, empowered, or like you don't think there should be a WIT group, we would like you to come and tell us what you think.
