I think I see what the trouble could be -- looks like maybe "SFTP address" is actually where you put the server hostname: "athena.dialup.mit.edu." The "server name" field is, I think, just an arbitrary name for the shortcut, so you could use that same value for both fields.
The path, "/afs/Athena.mit.edu/org/a/abd," should go in the "Root Directory" field instead.
Sorry, don't have a copy of Dreamweaver to look at ;)
