Session Description:
Beginning with a marketer focus, the morning of this workshop will focus on web analytics strategy, approach, opportunities and limitations, a walk-through of how Google Analytics works with institutional sites and other data, a demo of the user interface and potential applications, and an overview of advanced features. The afternoon of the workshop would have a more technical focus, walking participants through structuring accounts, profiles, filters and goals, how to measure performance of search, email, and banner campaigns, how to customize dashboards, and then way to leverage advanced segmentation and custom reports within the system.

Takeaways:
Participants will be able to set-up and leverage Google Analytics for their institutional websites and various other sets of data; participants will understand the power of analytics and results-based decision making as they move forward in evolving their digital presences.
