Hey Lars,
We use QR codes in the school news paper, the Harvard Gazette:

In detail, we use them in the print version to tie into additional content
online such as photo galleries and audio tours.
In addition, we are starting to use them on posters across campus to link
users to our new mobile app, http://m.harvard.edu
