Hi folks,

I’m wondering whether anyone is doing work with location aware devices, and if you’d be willing to share a summary of your goals and a link to your application?

The reason I ask is that the MIT Global Challenge (have a peek at http://beta-globalchallenge.mit.edu) is looking into ways to “check in” with registered members of the global MIT community who are on the go, and harness their free time and attention to answer discrete questions from MIT students working on projects in that location.

For example, Peter is at MIT developing a project proposal to pilot an innovative off-grid electricity solution to rural communities in Cameroon. To do that he needs to get in touch with community partners there. Suki just checked in from Bamenda as is offering 5 hours a week. Our system would connect them.

I’d love to know what your experiences have been, and what resources you’ve drawn on to accomplish your goals. As background, here’s a nice presentation:

Thanks!
