Subject: Meeting: Monday, October 19 - Where, How, and Why Harvard University Uses Twitter (Panel Discussion and Demonstration)
Hello all.
Please come join us or invite a colleague to our inaugural ABCD-Harvard University Social Media User Group meeting, Monday, October 19, 12:30 – 2:00 P.M., in the Lamont Library Forum Room; feel free to forward this to appropriate/interested parties and groups.
Please RSVP! The Lamont Library requires a Harvard ID; visitors will need to pre-register (contact Scott Lozier or myself if you (or colleagues/guests) are not on the “abcd-social” email list and/or do not have a Harvard ID).
Where, How, and Why Harvard University Uses Twitter (Panel Discussion and Demonstration)
For our inaugural meeting, we will be hosting a panel discussion and demonstration on Twitter. We will give a brief overview of Twitter (if necessary), and then discuss and demonstrate where and how it is being used – and whether/why it is an effective tool – across the University; there are currently – at minimum – 50 Harvard-based Twitter profiles, with 102,000+ combined followers. Throughout the discussion, panelists will talk on specific business cases for using Twitter, and its implications, including security, logistics, policy, and best practices.
