Work Shift:
DIRECTOR OF WEB STRATEGY, Sloan School of Management, to assume
responsibility for developing an online/web strategy that defines the
value proposition, segmentation, content, user experience, online
partnership opportunities, and integrating aspects of emerging media
(e.g., social networking) and new technologies as a way of
differentiation for the Sloan School. Will work with program managers
and key stakeholders to develop and manage a strategy that meets
school objectives; serve as expert on web technologies' initiatives
and provide expertise on user goals, user scenarios/flows, use cases,
site maps, wire frames, and user interface testing; stay abreast of
online trends and best practices; lead/coordinate user research and
usability studies, defining and providing content and functionality
and developing organizational schemes, user flows, and user interface;
provide user design feedback and integrate results to ensure best-in-
class online user experience; review web site content and work with
stakeholders to ensure it's consistent, up-to-date, and reflects
Sloan's brand and communication objectives; and lead a team of web
professionals.
REQUIREMENTS: a bachelor's degree (master's preferred); a minimum of
six years' proven experience in web strategy, user experience and
graphics design, content and functionality development, and usability/
user interface testing; experience with web site analytics tools and
strong analytical skills; experience with social networking, user-
generated content, emerging media, and content management systems;
ability to work cross-functionally and interface with all levels of
the organization; superior presentation and oral and written
communication skills, with specific emphasis on providing online
communication/web content; and excellent interpersonal, project
management, and facilitation skills. Seek self-starter and creative
thinker with strong understanding of web marketing-related
technologies, including HTML, CSS, Web 2.0, Photoshop, and Visio.
