 Hi all,

UA Public Affairs is excited to share the fantastic news that the Post Office/USPS in the STUD [W20-003] is now open! It is open weekdays (Monday through Friday) from 10am to 4pm, and is located in the basement of the STUD (go down the stairs adjacent to Tea-Do, and take a left— you’ll see it).

The news comes just in time as many of you begin getting your mail-in ballots for this upcoming midterm election on November 8th. If you are eligible to vote and have not done so yet, there still may be time to request an absentee (mail-in) ballot in your state, and plan to send it in ASAP to make sure it counts (check your state’s deadlines with this link<https://www.vote.org/absentee-ballot-deadlines/>). To be clear, all university students have the right to vote in their home states through absentee ballots<https://allinchallenge.org/wp-content/uploads/ALL-IN-Out-of-State-College-Student-Voting-Guide.pdf>. As a reminder, quite a few states<https://www.ncsl.org/research/elections-and-campaigns/vopp-table-12-states-with-postage-paid-election-mail.aspx> offer postage-paid election mail (but if yours doesn’t, we are offering free stamps for anyone who needs them! Send your request to ua-publicaffairs-chairs at mit.edu<mailto:ua-public-affairs at mit.edu>).

Voting is confusing, we know. If you have any questions or trouble voting, please fill out this form<http://vote.mit.edu/questions> and we'll get back to you!

No more expensive trips to the Kendall FedEx nor timely trips to the Central Post Office :)

Hope many of you find this convenient!

Best,

Paul Irvine & Kim Liao
