Looking for Presidential Inauguration Block Party Performers

[Inaugural Block Party Committee]

Dear Students,

As part of the Inaugural Festivities for President Susan Hockfield, we 
are planning the "UnCommon Block Party" on Saturday, May 7th from 3pm to 
7pm.  We are currently looking for talented students, faculty, and staff 
to perform during the event.

Several stages will be set up in Steinbrenner Stadium and around Kresge 
Auditorium for small and large groups of musicians, carnival performers, 
and a special variety show.   Entertainment will be scheduled in 15, 30, 
and 45 minute sets. We are also planning interactive booths for 
performers and artists to offer workshops such as balloon making, 
origami design, dance instruction, a cappella singing, and more.

If you are part of a group, an individual act, or would like to teach a 
workshop, please fill out an application on our website_ 
http://web.mit.edu/inauguration/blockparty/_ by Wednesday, April 13th. 
Our Entertainment Committee will review the applications and select the 
Performers and Workshoppers for the Block Party.
