[Tango-L] close embrace - the place to be ... Re: San Diego close embrace festival 2010

Reading all the complaints about a festival meant to be 'close embrace' but appearantly not fullfilling this promise ... 

... for close embrace and NO high heel kicking around there's one "place to be": it's called "El Corte" [ www.elcorte.com ], run by 'Eric Jeurissen'. 

BUT: before coming there  p l e a s e  learn to keep your knees and ankles together! And yes: the learning here goes for the female dancers / the followers!  As a male / leader you can't do anything if the female / follower is dancing big on the slightest glimp of a lead. [well, yes, you can do something: dump her / the follower asap]

I am just back of the "New Year's Marathon" at above mentioned location [ http://www.elcorte.com/dance/newyear.htm ] - dancing from 31/12 22:oo hours through to _2_/1  02:oo hours, plus 'chill out' from 12:oo to 15:oo on jan 2nd ... 28 hours of continous music and dancing ... close embrace, of course! ;-)
Bad news: the 2010-2011-Marathon is allready fully booked for the girls. Good news: (1) there are still tickets for the males/leaders. (2) the might be 'cancellations' around the end of the year for the girls, BUT: available tickets will then be given away to regulars (to be sure that no high-kick-newcomers destroy the atmosphere and endanger other dancers!).
