How about:
Danced 80% of the time:
- Walking
- Back Ochos
- Ocho Cortado
- Turns (various types)
Danced 20% of the time:
- Forward ocho
- Boleos
- Sacadas
Danced 0% of the time:
- Volcadas
- Colgadas
- Barridas
That's the way the milongueros I've seen in Buenos Aires dance. (OK, maybe a
barrida once in a blue moon.)
So, most instruction is directed toward the part of the tango repertoire that's
danced 0% of the time in the milongas of Buenos Aires.
