By improvisation I mean the absense of pre-stablished secquences, what we
generally call "cloned" movements, and the need of adjusting they way we
dance to the music we're dancing to, the partner we're dancing with and the
conditions of the dance floor we're dancing at. Maybe this paragraph will
explain the idea better than I, it's taken from "Embracing Tango", the book
my partner (Gustavo Benzecry Saba) wrote, which I translated to the English:

"Improvisation is what we can do without any previous intention. In Tango
dance, it is what we can do while we are merged with each other... It is the
ability to resolve, or the lack of planning at a specific moment in time and
space. It is a challenge to find a way to keep moving, even when there is no
space and obstacles surround us."

I hope you understand what I mean know.

Hugs again,
Maria

Thank you, Maria, for the clarification.

May I ask you also what is "the concept of improvisation" you mentioned in
"They base their teaching in the concept of improvisation, which, together
with the embrace, is the real essence of our dance. " ?
