Hi Robert,
Keep in mind that those nasty reactions may not be about
you. It could be the other person who has a problem. I
don't understand why anyone needs to be nasty to anyone,
especially if a person is just new to the group.
Corrections can be done in an educated, non-judgmental way.
Probably every community has a sourpuss. For many years
here, new students would be turned off by the local
sourpuss and left tango. Those who stayed figured out to
ignore him.
I suggest not trying too hard to fit in or else you might
lose yourself.
