Hello again, Snowriders!
This is your weekly update for next week's plans, which in this case
will feature two exciting events: The annual Burton discount shopping
night and a day trip to Stratton Mountain.
Here is the info:
1) Burton Discount Shopping night:
Come one, come all, to the annual Snowriders Burton Discount Shopping
night!
Do you want to buy hard goods (snowboards/boots/bindings) at* 40% off
retail prices*?
Do you want to buy outerwear and other accessories for *50% off*?
What about* 2 for $20 T-shirts* and* clearance* rack deals at a *70%*
discount?
And how about pizza, coffee, and other goodies to keep you going strong
throughout the event?
If your answer to these questions is "Yes", then sign up for the Burton
College Shopping night organized by your Friendly Neighborhood MIT
Snowriders!
We will be taking a bus (free of charge) to Wrentham, MA to shop for two
hours. Skiiers should note that Burton does not sell skiing-related hard
goods, although there will still be great deals on apparel and accessories.
The bus departs from Sidpac at 7pm on February 4th. Shopping will occurs
from 8-10pm, and then we will return to Sidpac by approximately 11pm.
While this event is free, we will be requiring a safety deposit from
everyone. This will only be charged for those who do not show.
Reservations can be made on the Snowriders website
<http://snowriders.mit.edu/> starting this evening, *Wednesday, January
27th, at 8pm*,* *and ending *Monday February 1st at noon. *
If you are on the market for some new gear, don't miss this opportunity!
2) Stratton day trip
Our next big mountain destination is Stratton Mountain, VT. Stratton is
famous for long, well-groomed runs and great snow. We have high
expectations for the snow conditions, as they blow snow onto 95% of
their extensive terrain using state-of-the-art technology. You can look
forward to a nice blend of greens, blues and blacks as well as a few
double black diamond trails. The drive up should be short--
approximately 3 hours, so we'll be leaving Sydney Pacific at 5:30 am.
Sign ups will begin as usual in the afternoon of Sunday, February 7th,
and will continue through the following Wednesday or until the trip
fills up.
We will have more info about pricing and departure times, so stay /tuned
/(pun intended)!
We hope to see you in the shop and on the mountain!
Until next time,
Your Friendly Neighborhood MIT Snowriders
