Extended notifications - blank emails. [Scanned]

Thanks Eddie, it took a while for my original email to get posted. I just managed to resolve this now. Figured out that SWN_SELSEN which is the program scheduled to send out the emails from extended notifications work items actually posts a log in SLG1 everytime it runs. The log has been coming up with an error since this issue came up which helped us trace the actual cause:

Hi Amit,

Check the language maintained for the users who should receive the email. Look in SU01 and check the setting for Communication Language. Is it different from other users…..are your task descriptions and notifications texts maintained in that language?

Also check the language of the work item via SWWWIHEAD….is it one of your support languages?

Hello Everyone,
I have come across a strange issue in our production system and was wondering if I could get any pointers to crack this one. We are using extended notifications and since yesterday, some of the emails to approvers have been sent as blank emails. I notice that this issue occurs once every 4-5 emails sent out from extended notification. There have been no workflow relevant transports that have gone live and I am starting to wonder if something else could have caused this!

  *   I checked that the WF engine is running normal, no errors.
  *   Debugged the logic in BSP application SWN_MESSAGE1 and the logic seems to have correctly populated the email contents every time.

Could this be something to do with any basis activity? Or deactivation of any service? Any suggestions would be welcome!
