Group according to sort key not working in SBWP

I have a requirement where I have to group the workitem based on Docum=nt Type. I have defined the default attribute and done all the coding. But=in the Business Workplace each workitem appears as a eparate entry and not=in groups. Am I missing something. I have done the binding of Object to _WI_Object_ID and _WI_Group_ID. I want t=e workitem to be grouped based on the document type. Suppose I have 5 work=tem with Doct Type A. When I click A I will get 5 workitem instead of 5 fo=ders for each workitem.
