Work item translations not working

Hi Workflow experts
 
I have a work item which is created fine.  I have in the taskshort_in container the translations for English and Spanish.
But when I log on in Spanish, it doesnt display the correct work item, it just states something like 'dialogue a tarifa' (work item in Spanish).
 
Any ideas what could be causing this?
