SAP-WUG Digest, Vol 72, Issue 51

Hi,

Actually we don’t want to use GOS because as far as I know if I use GOS for
attachments documents are stored in the *SAP database* not in a file server.
And there is one more issue of GOS is that attachments *are not **
automatically transferred* between processes, i.e., if a document is
attached to purchase requisition (PR) by GOS it is not transferred to
purchase order automatically. I have read in an SAP note, I don’t remember
the note number right now but I will send you if I recall it, that it
requires additional consulting that is provided by SAP.

Right now we use SAP DMS to create and attach documents to purchasing
processes and send mails from SAP to Outlook by Extended Notification.

I also found below note

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_scm50/helpdata/en/d5/581ee8d56f1247bf34cfcd66d16d81/content.htm

“At present, notifications cannot contain documents, such as Microsoft Word
files, as attachments. Only the HTML format for Microsoft Outlook is
supported for HTML messages at present. E-mail messages can only be sent to
Internet e-mail addresses.”

Best regards

Melih
