Adding a Link to Call a Transaction in WI View

Hello guys,

In the work item view, i would like to display a link under the attachments and objects which one clicked on it will call a transaction to display a report. I'm calling that report in the previous step and having a manual completion for the task but the user wants this option to be in the work item attachments because it's a very dynamic report and the values keep changing all the time. They also don't want a separate transaction to display that report. 
I've tried to create an attribute which calls that report and attached it the attachment object, but when i click on the attachments a small screen shows up with the key field of the business object but when confirming the report is not displaying. I've tried attaching the whole business object to the attachments objects and also only the attribute which calls the report but both are not working. When running the attribute on its own when testing the business object, the report gets called fine but not when integrating that in the attachments object.
