Hi,

Suggest looking at the cause instead of treating the symptoms. If your workflows get stuck then something is broken. Fix that and no need for SWPC.

Cheers,
Mike

Hi Sue,

The reason we have scheduled a background job daily in production environment is we have a custom workflow triggered when ever a equipment is created(through MIGO) . daily more than 500 equipments get created and 500 times the equipment workflow gets triggered. in this few workflows gets reported in system crash daily.

In the morning usually during monitoring time(9 to 6) we execute the swpc and check and restart the workflows. however after 6 there will be no monitoring and workflows reported in system crash has to be restarted the next day.
For this reason we have scheduled a background job to restart the workflows reported in system crash.
However this background job always shows 0 entries restarted even though there are entries to be restarted in SWPC.

Please let me know your inputs.

Thanks & Regards,
Preethi G

Hi Preethi,
I am not sure why you need to schedule SWPC (Continue Workflows after System Crash) at all.  Does your system crash daily?
I am just curious as to the reasoning behind this.  I’ve been doing workflow administration for over 10 years, and never used SWPC.
Regards,
Sue

Hi All,

I have scheduled the program RSWP_CONTINUE_WORKFLOWS_GRID  behind the transaction : SWPC daily at 11 : 00 PM system time.
The creation date is selected as Creation date GE Sy-datum-1 dynamically and continue immediately option is also checked.
However the background job is not  picking the list and restarting the workitems that are reported in system crash.
When executed  the transaction is foreground , list is coming and I can able to restart the work items.

Is there any other setting which I am missing or Please let me know your inputs  to solve the issue.

Many Thanks !

Thanks & Regards,
Preethi G.
