SAP Workflow Certification coming back?

Hi Paul,

It is indeed a measurable achievement but is something, like a degree,
that might have been obtained some time in the past and perhaps
out-of-date. I have been certified in a couple of SAP componenets, but
long ago and would not like to use these as justification of competence
now. In any case I think that the number of bona fide worklfow experts
available without certification as opposed to those so equiped mean that
the market must be realistic and flexible, and I suspect this may
contribute to the thinking of SAP in dropping the certification.

Nee.

All things being equal, I would hire a SAP-certified workflow consultant
first.
It's a tangible, 'objective' measure, whereas 'workflow experience' is
often in the eye of the beholder (or rather the job candidate).

Sure, if someone already has a solid CV and references, then it wouldn't
make that much difference.
But for a more junior position - or even someone trying to break into
workflow - a certificate would be very valuable indeed.

Bring it back, I say.

cheers
PaulB

Hi Sue,
Thanks for you reply. I do agree your thoughts but In some places
especially in Middle east, clients are asking for certified consultants
with right experience.

Ibrahim

  Hi Ikhan,

I think it is safe to say that SAP Workflow Certification is not coming
back. SAP is still offering the basic Workflow Courses, and there has
been a lot of debate over what Certification really means. For example,
is that your only criteria for whether you hire a consultant? What does
Certification *really* mean? Would you prefer to hire someone who has
4-5 projects under their belt, or someone whose resume is light, but
does
  have Certifications?

At any rate, there is still some quality education being offered out
there and while we (I?) try keep this forum clear of marketing pitches,
I
think that this offering, created in part by our own Ginger Gatling, may
  be useful.

And also, since I am bending the rules, let’s not forget the new version
of Practical Workflow for SAP, which is available via SAP-Press.

If I should hear more on the front of Workflow Certification, I will
certainly pass that information on to this group.

  Regards,

  Sue

  Hi Friends,
Any idea whether SAP Workflow Certification is coming back? Some
months
before one of our SAP WUG'ers did a survey on this and published the
  results.
After that no updates on that. If any one has any information please
  share it.

  Ikhan
