EEC6 Requested Start & Resubmission

Hi,

I have used the requested start date functionality in one of my approval workflows and it was just nice to send a work item to the resubmission box. This is also what I have learned in the workflow course from SAP some time ago. It seems to me that the documentation is slightly unclear here, as this functionality has been implemented just the way it was designed.

In order to achieve a strict rule: "Execute-Not-Before", be aware, that the requested start date even works with BACKGROUND STEPS. So you'll have to create an empty object method with no-dialog marked, create a task definition for it and put this into the workflow pattern giving the requested start date. Right after this step you've to put your dialog task.
You could also reach the same result, when you used an empty object method, no-dialog, defined as asynchronous task with an event that surely never is created and a modeled latest end date. But this is slighlty more work than the previous solution.

In the result, the workflow stops at the background steps and waits for the requested start date/time. The job SWWERRE is doing this work, when I remember rightly, otherwise it is the SWWDHEX. When the background step is processed, the dialog work items appears at the first time, the job ran.

With the very best wishes,
   Florin
