Enhancement of a WF Class with a custom method

Completely forgot about that, been battling with that the last two days
myself.
There's a note on OSS telling us to go away in no uncertain terms:

Symptom

Enhancements in ABAP OO classes are not visible within the SAP Business
Workflow. This applies to all components definition time, runtime,
administration and information system.

The SAP Business Workflow does not support the new enhancement concept
introduced for SAP NetWeaver 2004s.
