Add Memo and WI ID

Hi Sandy

You can try this: With the WI_ID, use SAP_WAPI_READ_CONTAINER and pick up element _ATTACH_OBJECTS in the function module parameter SIMPLE_CONTAINER

Then the selection criteria for SO_WIND_NOTE_DISP_API1 should be (for import parameter APPLICATION_OBJECT) OBJTYPE=SOFM and OBJKEY from _ATTACH_OBJECTS, example FOL310000000004RAW330000000062.

Hi Jocelyn.
I got 55 hits based on SO*API*
I tried SO_WIND_NOTE_DISP_API1, SO_WIND_ATTACHMENT_DISP_API1, SO_ATTACHMENT_READ_API1, SO_DOCUMENT_READ_API1 but none of them have work item id as their selection criteria (import parameter).
Would you mind giving me a hint which function module I can use to get memo where work item id as their primary key?

The way I create that memo is from "Display detail in SAP Gui" and I can see "View memo" in "You can also" section

We're in ECC 6.0 with EP 7.0 almost everything in the last support package

Many thanks

Hi Sandy,

Yes you can use Add Memo - you can also use User Decision with Note which is similar but lets you enter the comments inline with choosing the answer.
Both create a RAW SAPOffice attachment - there are functions you can use to read the contents afterwards - try SO*API* in SE37.

Subject: Add Memo and WI ID

Hi All.
We have requirements where user is able to add comments prior make an approval or rejection.
This comments actually is a back and forth communication between initiator and approver(s).
We are thinking to utilize AddMemo from UWL.
Things that we are not sure are:
1. How we retrieve those comments/memo if in the future need to be printed for audit purposes? I believe the primary key will be work item id but how to retrieve it?

2. Is there any limitation or maximum size when we are utilizing AddMemo from UWL?

Many thanks
