Checking WF template versions

Hi All,
 
We are in a kind of support project .
We wanted to be sure that the Workflow templates which are available in
DEV system are exactly corresponding to the ones in PRE-PROD system.
In this case , If we only ensure that technical information - i.e.
change data - on WF template header is same in both the systems , then
can we assume that WF template is in sync in both the systems?
