Send E-mail step using SAP distribution list? (John White)

Also it's good to clarify the differences between mails and work items here.
If I understood correctly, Cristiana is suggesting using notifications
whereby an email would be sent to users alerting them that they have a work
item. I.e. the workflow implements a dialog work item step - which is
syncronous so the workflow will wait until the work item has been opened /
processed in most cases. The work item will also be visible in the various
work reports, etc.

If the requirement is to send an email and then have the workflow continue
without waiting for any user input or response then the send mail step might
be more suitable.

Regards,
Gavin
