Transport of workflows (WS) backwards from 640 to 4.6C?

Hej Viveka,
 
I would be very careful about transporting from a new version of SAP to an old version. Your 640 workflow may make use of features / structures / tables that simply do not exist in 46C.
 
The only guaranteed solution to your problem is to recreate the workflow manually in 46C.

Dear Workflowers, 

we have developed a workflow in ECC 5.0 (640) which we have tried to transport to a 4.6C system.  (Transports from 4.6C to 5.0 works fine) 

The error messages we receive in STMS are described below. 
The wf ID and the basic data tab strip are created correctly, but the wf definition as well as the wf container are empty. 

Is there any way to perform a transport from 5.0 to 4.6C ?
