Hi Margaret,

I've worked on this. It was a PO approval and yes from a Blackberry.

Let me know the requirements in detail...

Regards
Manish

Mike,

Yes...this is about where I'd gotten to. I was wondering if anyone had
actually made this work in anything but EBP.

I'm guessing we won't be doing it here anytime soon.

Thanks,

Margaret

Hi Margaret,
Since you have the book, it also describes something about how to
implement the EBP-stype setup in other systems.
It's not straightforward and you'll probably need help with it, but as
far as I can remember the approval is done by reply email. Email is
insecure so digital signing / SSL has to be implemented in your mail
systems.

So then your approval consists of an email with two hyperlinks for
replying, one for approve and one for reject. These send an email back
with validation codes.

You need to implement some coding to read incoming emails and scan for
any workflow results.

Cheers
Mike

can approve or reject the item from a Blackberry (i.e. via email)? I
read in the SAP Workflow book that the shopping cart in EBP can do this,
but I confess I found the implementation discussion confusing. Can
anyone who has tried this help me out with any tips, tricks, or traps
you learned along the way? Or maybe a brief overview of how I would set
it up?
