SRM Inbox question

Hi Sue,

Secondary methods are not available in any inbox - yet. Definitely not
in SRM.

UWL would let you display the text of course.

And something to ask back to your users:
* Do you REALLY want people approving/rejecting shopping carts etc. on
the basis of a swift text summary - in which case use offline approval -
you can show more details in the mail.

* If you want them to look at the details, just take away the quick
approve/reject buttons (dynamic columns config) and force them to
execute the workitem properly.

You can tailor the work item text, and you can also tailor the item
overview list when they go into the shopping cart e.g. using screen
variants.

Subject: SRM Inbox question

Hi, (And please, don't laugh at me)

We are preparing to upgrade from EBP 3.5 to SRM 4.0 or 5.0. Our users
find it difficult to approve/reject shopping carts on the basis of a
one-line description.
In the R/3 inbox, we get the workitem preview pane, which allows us to
display a lot more information about the workitem and its' object.

What are my possibilities for enhancing the SRM inbox to contain
something 'similar' to the preview pane (but prettier, of course).
Unfortunately, UWL and Portals are not yet on the horizon.

Are secondary methods available in the SRM inbox ? Just a thought...

Thanks, and happy WF-ing,
Sue
