Use of SM30 to maintain T77S0 is fine. It may be on the IMG somewhere
but I can never remember where so...

Impact of that change - hmmm... that's an HR question I think.

RH_ACT_LEADING_POSITION

Jocelyn,
I was having a couple of conversations with others outside
of sap-wug when I replied. I had a couple of threads going on
at one time. Sorry for the cryptic reply.

What we have:
A call to RH_ACT_LEADING_POSITION.
The FM attempts to find the position of users manager.
If it finds a valid position (Occupied or vacant) then it is done.

What we want is to find the manager's manager if the position is
valid BUT vacant.

I added an entry in T77S0 via SM30 with the values
GRPID=WFLOW, SEMID=VAPOS, and GSVAL=X.

This appears to work. So, the question remaining is, is SM30
the correct way to add the above data to T77S0 for this issue?
And, any side effects of this entry?

Thanks
Rick

Yes, I did verify if this position is vacant and this entry is in
t77s0,

then look for position one org up. This seems to work.

Now, I need the correct t-code to make entry.
I see OOV1. This the correct t-code?

Thanks
Rick

I am reviewing the code in RH_ACT_LEADING_POSITION.
I see
* consider vacant positions flag in table T77S0
* wflow-vapos
  PERFORM re77s0(mstt77s0) USING 'WFLOW' 'VAPOS' lv_sw_vapos lv_subrc.

If populated in table T77S0, "wflow" "vapos" does what?
Skips this valid position with no holder and goes one org up?

If so, what is the value for GSVAL in this table T77S0?
