SRM shopping cart workflow. Approval preview

Hi All,
  We have copied SRM workflow WS14000133 and WS14000134 to implement the
N level approval with deadline monitoring using BADI implementation.
Process wise, it is working fine. User pointed out to me that when the
shopping cart was rejected back to the initiator, then the approval
preview shows it as 'Approved'. However the shopping cart was returned
to the creator with 'rejected' status. The approval preview and the
shopping cart status does not match.

I have tested the SAP standard workflow and in this situation, the
approval preview shows 'To be approved by' and the shopping cart with a
red '?'.

I am not able to understand what is the difference!. Can somebody shed
some light on how the approval preview works?

Found OSS note 784408 however this does not help.

We are on SRM_SERVER Release 500 Support package SAPKIBKS04.
