Agent disappears from task

Hi all,
I'm really stumped by this one - 4.7/620:
- background task executes rule to verify that an agent exists
- Followed by a dialog task that uses the same rule
- Check WF log, it shows the correct agent
- Refresh the agent's inbox..... no workitem appears
- Recheck log - woah, task has no agent
- scratch head
- test rule - it finds correct agent.
- Run flow again, it works.
- Run it again, it doesn't.
 
So far 2 out of 6 flows were succesful (same procedure). I'm going to lea=
ve
it overnight and see if it goes away... but if anyone has similar
experiences I'd appreciate hearing about them.
