[More] Compensation approval web woes

Hi Serge,

My person is actually only assigned one position, but his position has =
the B012 (chief) relationship to many orgs. Role 157 will have the same =
problem as 168.

What Id like to do (if this is possible) is base the role on the =
employees being submitted, rather than the WF initiator. If, through =
Comp Planning in MSS, we force the submitting manager to submit =
adjustments for each org he manages separately, is there a way to use =
the org the employees are in (rather than the manager's org) to route =
the work item?

Thanks,
Alexis

If you use role 157, it will send the work item to the chief Position =
(S)
not the User... This will still lead the workitem to the same User (US)
because your one Person (P) is assign to many Position (S)...

Hope this helps

Serge

Objet=A0: [More] Compensation approval web woes

Hello everyone,

I was hoping I could get an opinion on the following scenario. We are
using a customized version of the Comp approval WF through MSS in a
4.6C/620 system. Our org structure is extremely complicated, and we
have several instances of the following situation:

Joe Manager is chief of Org1 in China rolling up to the VP of Ops -
China (Org4)
AND
Joe Manager is also chief of Org2 in Thailand rolling up to VP of Ops -
Thailand (Org5)
AND
Joe Manager is also chief of Org3 in Malaysia rolling up to VP of Ops -
Malaysia (Org6)

Joe Manager's position is in Org6, so the standard role 00000168
(Manager) sends all submitted adjustments to the VP of Ops - Malaysia
(Chief of Org6).

Here's where it gets tricky: we would like to route the compensation
adjustments to the appropriate Chief based on org the employees are in.

So, all the employees in China (Org1) are submitted to the VP in China
(Org4) and all the employees in Thailand (Org2) are submitted to the VP
in Thailand (Org5), etc.

Is this possible? =20
