Weird messages in EBP inbox

Hello All,
 
We are seeing weird messages being sent by 'Workflow system' . The workitem
reads like this "Invoice Rejected". When clicked on it, there was no
reference to Invoice number or amount or person who created nor rejected it.
Only displays - 'Author' workflow-system.
 
Has anybody seen this behavior before? Please advise.
 
 
We are on EBP 3.0.
