Email subject limited to 50 characters

Hello Mike,
yes, this is what I found out as well - that the subject line is cut off=20
after 50 chars by the application program (RSWUWFML).
 
I reported this to OSS (on 4.6C) and received the answer that the limit of =
 
50 chars as subject is standard in both the old program (RSWUWFML) and in=20
the new program (RSWUWFML2).  As you can see from the OSS reply there is=20
no comment about the possibilities in higher releases either:

I have just tested RSWUWFML2 and with regards to the Email Subject line=20
it is still truncated to 50 Chars so the full WI text will not be=20
displayed in your Outlook/Lotus Notes.=20

In RSWUWFML2, the task description is now displayed in the main body of=20
the email as well as a Standard Before Work Item Description &=20
After Work Item Description that can be changed to suit your emails.=20

The truncation of the subject line is down to the BC-SRV-COM component=20
who are responsible for SAP mail and the restrictions so we cannot=20
do anything from a workflow point of view.=20

Hi all,
This is an old one to which I still have no answer. When sending internet
emails the subject is truncated at 50 chars.
I've set the linewidth parameter to 132, however that only appears to=20
apply
to the body.
So far I've been unsuccessful on OSS and in the archives (found the same
question a few times but no answer), I'd be grateful if someone out there
could share some info.
Oh, and we're on 6.20, talking to Lotus Notes - though I don't think it's
Notes as it's already truncated before RSCONN01 picks it up.
