Hi Flavio,
The old version of RSWUWFML is still the correct approach.  The concepts are the same,
Just that the new version of the program offers better features in terms of content and attachment.
 
As a fundamental approach to getting notifcations to a user it is still doing the same type of thing.
This is very different to using SAPMAPI.
 
Start with RSWUWFML and migrate to the newer version as it becomes GA.
There should be no big effort involved. Just schedule the new program and stop using the old one.
 
The portal uses the UWL to show workitems. SO notification delivery to some SMTP
System still exists. This includes actual notifcations and the gernerated info mails
>From RSWUWFML.

We are upgrading our system now (from 4.0B to 4.7). The few workflows we have up to now are using only SAP Office but we have a request to send the workitems to Lotus Notes.
 
My question is: should we try to use this new functionality or can we start using the old way and "upgrade" the solution later?
 
What is the best approach if we intend to use SAP Portal in the near future??
