Slightly off topic - inserting WF graphic into Word Doco

Mark,

I support your quest here as well. I would think with a little work on
SAP's side we should be able to export the models to a visio file type.
However, until that functionality is available, you can use PDF print
tools such as (PDF-Pro Lite $9.99) to capture any print out to a PDF
document (of course, you may have to battle with the IT guys to install
it in some environments).

Not sure if the attachment will come through but this option isn't GUI
dependent (bonus for us who can't convince the basis guys to upgrade)
and it looks identical to the printed version (no odd lines across the
page).

Not perfect but a decent solution.

Good luck,
Darrell

Thanks John! What a difference a GUI version makes.

Thanks also to all those who suggested Snag-it (and equivalents)
although my
issue with these is that you need the WF to be small enough to see on
the
screen without scrolling or you have to stich images together (unless
you
can scroll whilst Snagging???)

I've just tried a print to file from 4.6B system with a 6402.2.2.978 GUI

version. Almost works. A couple of lines eminated from the top left
corner
instead of the triggering event (missed by thaaat much). I'm sure its
just a
case of getting the right version combo.

Thanks also to Mike Nickson who sent me an off-list response with a
beautiful WF image to prove there was nothing to it. This lead me to
wonder
about the powers of our new forum format and attempt to send a file to
the
group... just testing.

Have a merry one,
Mark

G'day Mark

Whenever I tried to print to file, the icons would get lost - finally
resolved this with an upgrade to my 6.20 GUI (6206.6.44.8927) after a
response to a WUG request - now all works swimmingly

Cheers john

G'day all,

I'll admit upfront this is slightly off topic, but not really...

I've always desired to get the WF builder graphic as a PC image file
(BMP, JPG, TIFF whatever) so it can be included into documentation. The
printing of the graphic works beautifully, esp on a nice colour laser
printer, but I'd really like to get it as an image in the overall
technical and even end user Word documentation.

There are standard options to output to clipboard or as an image file,
but in my experience neither of these work properly or at all.

My question is then, has anyone managed to get these options to work
such that they give an image in full colour with all icons and outcome
names?

My alternate (and possibly better asked to a PC nerd group rather than a
WF nerd one) question is is there a good (ideally free) solution for
setting up a printer definition which will convert the output to an
image file. I've tried at various sites with various printers to
configure the 'Print to File' option, but like the options in the
builder the outcome is either non-existent or very lacking in detail.

Does anyone have a treat up their sleeve? An early Christmas present for
me maybe??

Have fun,
Mark
