Worklist gone when a SAP user is renamed

A possible approach for your problem: use Substitution in R/3's Office

    Office ==> Administration ==> Substitute

In other words, for the "old user id's" identify a Substitution which
maps to their NEW 'equivalent ids' under your new scheme.

Hi,
'fraid to say you already answered your own question. There are a couple of
variations you may want to consider: Mass forwarding etc. Also remember to
update all your agent assignments. But you really should lock old users and
create new ones (not sure about licensing implications).

This has a bigger effect though as many agent references are in documents -
what about that invoice query that gets sent to the PO creator from 6 weeks
ago and similar situations? (and what about traceability/audits). My usual
recommendation is of allowing 3 months for a user to truly expire, but this
varies according to the business. I've worked in environments where
documents remain active for over many years.

All I can say is it can get a little ugly, some scenarios won't even show up
in the WI without agent report (had an argument with OSS about this one,
they refused to fix it), so also check for old workitems still sitting in
status READY further down the line.

Good luck.
Cheers
Mike
