Hi Fred/Vinod,
If you want to add a terminating event firstly you have to COPY (use the
special template button on the Control tab)the user decision task to your
own task. Then add the terminating event to the task level. Then you
should be able to use the new terminating event outcome. The reason the
graphical builder is rejecting your terminating events is because they are
not defined at the task level and therefore can never happen. Don't forget
to set up the agent assignment for your new task as well so people can
receive it.

Fred..

Correct! I'm having the similar error-message.
It is really very painful...
I DONOT think so it cannot be done.
It is really very Important to achieve to make the Business Process
consistent-By removing Unnecessory/Dead/Hang Workitems from the User's
Inbox.

Let me know if you find something similar that can solve our purpose.
I will be trying the same and let you know if i'll have.

Thanks and Regards,
Vinod Ramchandani.

Vinod,

We are on 4.6C. I just tried to implement your scenario and ended up with
the same problem: the first time I
activate the outcomes that are related to the terminating events the
graphical workflow is displayed, when I
enter the decision step details again and next want to return to the
graphical workflow the system 'proposes' to
delete the branches related to the terminating events (and there is no
option to prevent the system from doing
this).

I do not know if decision steps are intended to be ended by terminating
events though, maybe an expert can tell
us?
