Can i change the agent ?

VERY useful function that I've searched for in the past!
I've been toying with an idea to use it and woindering if anyone has done something similar (the functionality is available in 6.10, but I'm currently at a 4.6c site):
Extend the WORKITEM object to add a method CHANGE_AGENT, use this in a modelled deadline to reroute an item on a deadline expiration. Sounds pretty straightforward - anyone done this?

Cheers
Mike
