Trigger workflow by output types - through event creation

Hello All,
 
I am trying to start a workflow by triggering an event by using output types
for the service entry sheet. As per documentation I defined SAP program
RVNSWE01 and form routine create_event as the processing routine. But I am
not sure how and where to define the event that needs to be triggered.
Any body has come across this situation ?
