Task determined by expression

Swami,
 
As far as I know the function you refer to is for determining at runtime which task to execute next (according
to the result of the expression entered, which can be a field in your container). It is not used for disabling
the execution of a task. To disable a workitem that has been created you could use a process control step, with
which you can cancel or terminate a step (workitem) from the workflow. You should add in some functionality to
determine which step should be disabled when (f.i. using a condition).
