Carl,
The basis Release number is no longer identical to the application release which uses this basis.

Here's a potted history of basis releases:
Basis release 4.6d came after 4.6c and was used in one or two SAP applications (e.g. EBP in mySAP SRM).
The next big basis release was the 6.10 Web Application Server.

R/3 Enterprise was at one time refered to as release 4.7 of R/3. R/3 Enterprise uses the 6.20 release of the Web Application Server (so it contains plenty of new workflow goodies including simple forms).

Back to your question. No, you can't use "simple forms" in 4.6C. You'll have to consider the other possibilities.

Kind regards,

Alan Rickayzen
SAP AG

Subject: New question on "Simple Forms"

My previous question: "We are currently investigating using simple forms
in basic approval
workflows. Our client in on release 4.6C. Is there any way to get the
simple form functionality without upgrading to release 4.6D?" was a bad
question.

It was based on a statement from "Practical Workflow for SAP" chapter 12.2,
"Simple forms have been available since Release 4.6D." The latest release
of 4.6 is "C". The next release after 4.6C is 4.7.

So, my new question is this...How do I generate a "simple form" as
referenced in chapter 12.2 of this book. I have read through the material
on Forms and the functionality sounds great, but I am unclear on how to
imlement them.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Carl Harrison
