Hi Derek,
The task descriptions are based on SAPScript so you have the same options for changing font, colour etc, as in SAPScript.   It may help to use
the Goto > Change editor option when updating the task description.  You might want to talk to someone with SAPScript experience.  However, at the end of the day which inbox you are using will make a difference - not all inboxes will pay attention to your settings.  Business Workplace will reproduce any settings you use.  For other inboxes you will just have to try it and see.
 
If you are trying to change the HTML display of the task description as used in the Business Workplace preview and work item display, read up on the user exits for the work item preview and the work item display screen as these give examples of how to do this.

I am attempting to change the task description for some of our
workflows. Is
it possible to change the font and add colour to the text in these email
messages?  If so how?
I have attempted to cut & paste from a clipboard without any success.
 
Does anyone have an idea?
